Nothing pretty to see here, just information that may be useful to you.
Please Please RSVP - ideally by April 15th. This is so we can make sure we have enough food, and get a better idea of who are friends really are.
Do I have to bring you a present?
Of course you do, it's a Birthday Party!
Only joking - you don't need to bring a present. It's unlikely you'll buy something that we don't already have, or don't need. All the stuff we want is far too expensive (unless you win the lottery, then surprise us!!). If you can make it to the party, then we'll be happy enough with that.
I have children. What do I do?
Kids are welcome, although there will be no creche, so you'll need to be responsible for them - even after you've drunk their weight in beer.
You've only invited me, and I have a better half, can they come along?
If we've only invited you and not you and your better half, it's because we didn't know you had a better half. Shame on you for not communicating this detail to your close friends. Of course you can bring them along - just let us know when you RSVP to us by April 15th! (but as you didn't tell us you had a better half, we aren't expecting you to RSVP by then - see above...)
The venue:
Ilkley Rugby Club
It's 15 mins walk from the train station in Ilkley and easy to find.

Where to stay:
There are a few hotels in Ilkley, but I wouldn't say any of them are superb.
The Crescent Inn has a few rooms, as does the Cow and Calf - both of these are pubs with rooms, but I think the rooms are pretty good.

Bigger hotels are the Craiglands and Rombalds

Then you are into your more traditional pubs with rooms. I don't know what these are like.

If go a little bit further afield there is Hollins Hall which is a Marriott hotel (and it has a golf course if that kind of thing takes your fancy). This is only about 20 mins in a taxi from Ilkley.

Give either of us a call if you see somewhere that we haven't mentioned and want an opinion - can't guarantee you'll get one, but we might have heard something about it.
Look forward to seeing you.
